Calculating quantity

1. Measure the room
Length
Width
Ceiling height

2. Calculate wall area
(Length + Width) × 2 × Height
= total square metres to paint

3. Adjust (optional)
Subtract doors and large windows if you want precision. Add ceiling (Length x Width) for colour washing.

Example
4 m × 5 m room, 2.7 m high
(4 + 5) × 2 × 2.7 = 48.6 m²

Important: The Patina Factory calculates all measurements as TWO coats so a second coat is already factored in. For very dark colours aim for three coats. For very porous surfaces such as brick and stone, test thoroughly with a sample first. These substrates can absorb up to four times the amount of paint.
